Box Gutter

1. As with the eaves beam, the box gutter needs to sit onto two beads of silicone directly on top of the framework.
2. Connect the box gutter to the eaves beam using the fixing cleat supplied.
3. Before fixing back to the house wall/fascia board, make sure the box gutter is level. If fixing back to a wall, always use expanding anchor bolts at 600mm centres. When fixing to a fascia, screw through both the fascia and the supporting timber behind.
4. At this stage you must fit all the guttering leading up to the open end of the box gutter. Clip the box gutter end cap into position (shown below).
5. At this point, it is easy to lead dress the box gutter against the wall.
6. When fiting cladding to the box gutter, clip the eaves beam cladding in position first, then clip in the box gutter cladding to the underside as shown below.

Note: Prior to connecting any glazing bar to the box gutter, ensure the end caps have been secured to the glazing bar first.

Note: With raised leg box gutters, your Shield fabricator will supply the internal cladding as per the standard box gutters. It is the responsibility of the installer to clad the actual raised leg section. The under cladding will be supplied to cover the internal face using the piggy back style lips.
