10. Jack bars and hip bars will be prepared with the connecting mechanism. Simply offer the jack bar into position, pull back the spring and hook onto the locating tab. Proceed to tighten the bolt that strikes the eaves beam. 14. The glazing panels position can be identified with a letter on the panel which coresponds to its relative position on the roof plan.
15. Begin glazing the roof. All glazing bar caps are numbered relative to their respective bar. Knock down gently with a plastic glazing mallet.
11. Now is an appropriate time to chase out for the lead flaahing above the end rafter. 16. If glazing a Victorian or Georgian roof, stop after phase 1 so you have access to work around the radius end area in preparation for the foam bung to be installed and sealed. Seal around the top of each bar top cap where it meets the rain excluder as you glaze around the roof.
12. Insert all the clip fit gutter brackets to the eaves beam. Fit at 600mm intervals and within 150mm of the ends of each eaves beam run. Click here for more information.
17. Fix the glazing bar end caps to the glazing bars using M4 x 20mm taptite screws. Select the appropriate mark indicated inside the cap to the relevant bar section to be connected to.
13. Should you be supplied with a tie bar, refer to our tie bar instructions. 18. Connect all lenghts of gutter, using the angle brackets supplied for each corner.
