1. Unpack the roof vent and take care to carry out the following procedures on a suitable surface to avoid damage to the vent.

2. Open the lid at approximately 45 degrees to the vent body and detach.

3. To glaze the lid, remove the screws either side of the bottom section. Slide in the glazing panel being careful to avoid dislodging the gaskets. When using glass, glazing packers will be required. Apply silicone to the exposed corners of the lid frame and re-connect the bottom leg, screw the cleat firmly back in place. Then fit the wedge gasket into position after carefully sliding the glazing panel completely into the vent lid.

4. To install the vent into the roof, fit the top glazing panel into the rain excluder, then clip on the 'H' section using silicone where shown. Offer the vent outer frame between the glazing bars (the lid can be connected before or after installing the outer frame). Push the outer frame up firmly into position. Lay the second 'H' section (again prepared with silicone beads) firmly into the bottom of the vent outer frame, then firmly fit the lower glazing panel to finish. Finally, connect the opening mechanism to the lid bracket.
