1. Fix the wall plate against the house wall using
expanding anchor bolts (ie Fischer Bolts), with maximum spacings
of 500mm centres.
2. You will notice that the barbs to the underside of the valley
wings have been removed. This is essential as the wing must sit
firmly on top of the eaves beam at the bottom and the wallplate/ridge
at the top.
3. Offer the valley up to the ridge/wallplate, insert the M8 x
30mm bolts down through the pre drilled holes and to the eaves beam
using M8 x 25mm. Once the valley is located at both ends tighten
both top and bottom.
4. Using the roof plan - position the glazing bars that strike
the ridge and fasten securely using the M8 x 15mm bolts supplied.
5. Apply the double sided tape to each valley wing. Slide the XBX1V
valley top cap over the valley body.
6. A self tapping screw should be used to secure the valley body
to one of the valley wings.
7. Glaze the valley in the stages shown. As each glazing panel
is installed, seal with low modulus silicone where the glazing bar
top cap meets the rain excluder.

| Note:
As each sheet is installed, remember
to run a bead of silicone between the glazing panel & the
glazing end closure. click here for more information. |

8. The valley undercladding should then be mitred to the correct
angle on your roof. It will be necessary to angle this cut to give
a snug fitting ridge and eaves beam cladding.
| Note:
The valley under cladding is the
same product as the eaves beam cladding! |
